Our skin is complicated and to top it off, no two skin types are the same. Some of us are battling acne, melasma, aging skin or hyperpigmentation, but we all want the same thing ... to feel comfortable + confident in our own skin.

We've created a list of Frequently Asked Questions that may help you when deciding on what skin care service is right for you or if you have a question regarding the skin care products we have available.

Do You Offer Virtual Consultations?

Yes! Please fill out the Skincare consultation form to get the process started. Once the form has been filled out, I will reach out within 48 hours to schedule a time for us to chat.

What Line of Skin Care Products Do You Use on Most Treatments?

I use a wide range of skin care products from Face Reality Skincare, Noon Aesthetics, DMK, Vivant, Is Clinical, Hale & Hush and SkinBetter Science. After evaluating your skin type and current status, I select the skin care line appropriate for your skin concerns.

What Facial Treatment Should I Book?

If you are a new client, please select the New Client Treatment, New Client DMK or New Client Hydrafacial. All of these treatment include a skin care consultation as well.

How Soon After a Procedure Can I Go Out in the Sun?

Chemical peels should aim to stay out of the sun for 7 days post-procedure. Any other facial treatment can be in the sun within 48 hours.

What Skincare Products Can I Use While Pregnant?

Its best to completely stop Retin-A, Tretinoin, Retinols, and salicylic acid less than 2%.

Do You Offer Returns or Exchanges on Skin Care Products?

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns but I do offer exchanges on skincare products that have caused an adverse reaction.

Can I Come See You While on Accutane?

Unfortunately, you cannot get any facial treatments while on Accutane. However, I have successfully prescribed skincare to a client while on Accutane to help with the dryness and side effects while taking the prescription medicine.

What Products Can I Use for Acne Prone Skin?

We offer a variety of acne safe products from all the lines carried here at Bare Complexion. The most popular line we carry for acne treatment is Vivant and Face Reality Skincare.

What Treatment Will Help My Melasma?

Cosmelan is the #1 depigmentation treatment on the market. It's a depigmenting method with an intensive corrective effect that regulates over-production of melanin in the melanocytes, inhibiting and controlling new dark spots. Its complex formula uses 51 active ingredients, including numerous tyrosinase inhibitors. The main lightening agents are kojic acid, phytic acid, azelaic acid, arbutin extract and licorice extract.
